SBA 8(a) Set-Aside

The Federal Government's goal is to award 11% of all prime and subcontracting dollars to small disadvantaged businesses each year, increasing to 15% by 2025. To help meet that goal, agencies can make set-aside awards for businesses that participate in the 8(a) Business Development program. An agency and contracting officer is allowed to use set-aside contracts for small disadvantaged businesses. Our SBA 8(a) certification qualifies our business as eligible to compete for the program’s sole-source and competitive set-aside contracts. Agencies can award a competitive 8(a) set-aside contract or a sole-source 8(a) contract.
